Truck Rams into Maryland TV Station

A truck rammed the entrance of the ABC2 TV station in Towson on Tuesday afternoon, prompting a heavy police response and an evacuation of the building. The driver of the truck may still be in the building and may be armed, according to a tweet from the station.

ABC2 reporter Brian Kuebler wrote on Twitter that the man had tried to get into the building while screaming, "Let me in," and said he was God. The man then got into a landscaping truck and rammed the building several times, Kuebler wrote.

The man remains in the building and may be on the second floor, ABC2 meteorologist Mike Masco wrote on Twitter around 12:20 p.m. Tuesday.

He said that police found weapons in the vehicle.

Two people who work in the building told News4's Tisha Thompson that they heard the crash and ran out the back doors to the parking lot.

Three employees told Thompson that everyone is accounted for.

News Director Kelly Groft said on Twitter around 12:15 p.m. that the truck remains lodged in the lobby, and employees are being kept away from the building. She thanked Baltimore County officers for keeping them safe.

ABC2, an ABC affiliate, is located in Towson, Maryland, and covers Baltimore news. The station's call letters are WMAR.
