Amazing Finish Line Crash Photo

The men's Olympic ski cross quarterfinals ended Thursday in a spectacular crash that saw only one skier crossing the finish line upright, on two skis.

Three of four skiers competing in the heat wiped out on the final jump of the course, pinwheeling their way toward the finishline. Only two advanced to the next round — Switzerland's Armin Niederer, who made a quick turn to avoid running into one of his downed competitors, and Russia's Egor Koroktov whose body spun into second place.

Both made it to the finals where Korktov finished in 5th and Niederer in 7th place.

The French swept the race with Jean Frederic Chapuis winning gold and his teammates, Arnaud Bovolenta and Jonathan Midol, winning silver and bronze.
