Current sports commentator and former NFL player Darren Sharper has been arrested on suspicion of rape in Los Angeles, officials said.
Sharper, a Miami resident, was arrested Friday in connection with sexual assaults in October 2013 and January 2014 in the West Los Angeles area, according to a statement from the Los Angeles Police Department.
Sharper, currently a commentator with the NFL Network, was booked and held on $200,000 bail. He posted bail just before midnight on Friday, officials said.
The investigation is ongoing, police said.
